Graham Watts, Sr. is an honorably discharged Gulf war Navy veteran. He graduated from the University of North Florida, Jacksonville, and The University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa with a master’s degree in Health Promotion and a doctoral degree in Health Studies. He was Assistant Professor at Indiana University, Bloomington. Upon returning to Jacksonville, Graham worked at Florida Department of Health (FDOH), Duval, and Center for Health, Policy & Evaluation Research. Then he began private consulting, City of Jacksonville Ryan White Part A program, doing Quality Management and grant writing. His next roles were FDOH, Tallahassee, as Florida’s Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention Administrator; Agape Family Health, Duval County, as Grants Management Specialist, and finally with Northeast Florida Healthy Start Coalition, Inc., as Research Associate. Graham’s productivity in positions held includes 25 peer reviewed publications and a little more than 80 million dollars in grant funding.
