Sharon Munroe is a third-year Doctor of Public Health Candidate at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston School of Public Health (UTHealth) based in Austin, Texas, studying health promotion, health education, community health, and global health. Immersive, practice-based experiences have complemented doctoral studies during the past three years. Sharon serves as a senior student fellow of the American Public Health Association Maternal and Child Health (MCH) Section in a leadership role after serving as a student fellow in 2023-24. She holds an MPH from UTHealth as well as a Maternal and Child Health Certificate. She is certified as a Texas Community Health Worker Instructor, teaches community courses, and is on teaching teams at UTHealth.
