Maternal and Infant Health Consultant

Lauren Kozlowski is the Maternal and Infant Health Consultant at the Virginia Department of Health (VDH), Office of Family Health Services in Richmond, VA. She is part of the Title V Maternal and Child Health Block Grant team at VDH and also works with Title X staff, partners in injury prevention and chronic disease programming, and a variety of staff that touch on topics related to serving the pregnant and postpartum populations. Prior to this role, Lauren served as a teratogen information specialist and coordinated the MotherToBaby Georgia program at Emory University within the Center for Maternal Substance Abuse and Child Development. She earned both a Master of Public Health and a Master of Social Work from Boston University. Her MPH degree had a focus on maternal child health, while her MSW was rooted in macro practice with a focus on community organizing and policy. Lauren places a high value on working from a life course perspective and with a focus on improving access to care.
